Macey is 3 months!

While we were in Sweet Home for Christmas Macey turned 3 months old! Wow, it is going by so fast and she is just the sweetest baby! She is very smiley and laughs too! She even rolled over yesterday. I am not sure if is was her head that helped her tip or if she can really roll but she is growing like a weed! She brings so much happiness to us and we just love her so much!

All bundled up. I love her little round face! I just want to kiss her cheeks off!
She loves to sleep on Rex and Rex loves when babies sleep!

Dinner and a movie

Well, it has been a busy week with lots to blog about! I will catch you up by starting at the beginning. We started out 2 week Christmas vacation by visiting my sister in Forest Grove. We had a great time even though we were snowed in all weekend. We got lots of talking in, watched movies, and even braved the weather to eat out at Chevy's... yum! We had a grate time and wished we could have stayed longer but there is lots to be done over this break! Next Rex and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on the 22nd. Mom and dad and my brothers were nice enough to baby sit for us. Thank you!! We went out to dinner at McMinnamens, which was delicious and then headed to the 1.50$ movies. We made it about 3/4 through EAGLE EYE before we had to head home because Macey was ready to eat! Oh, well it was a great date and we appreciated the time alone together :) Next it was time to pack up and head off to Sweet Home for a big family Christmas! That is my next blog so this one won't go on for eternity!!

Four years ago on our wedding day. We were married in Portland at the most beautiful temple. It was the perfect day and I remember thinking that I didn't want it to end! I love that dress! Why can't we wear our dresses for more than just one day?

On our date! I can't believe how quickly time flies.... 4 years later, graduated BYU-I, moved to Eugene, 2 kids, grad school, and so much more a mixed in between! I have the best life :)

Let it snow!

We had a snow day!! Whoo hoo! Rex didn't have to go to work so we really enjoyed having him home! We started the day by all laying around in our bed and being nice and cozy. Next Rex and Annie bundled up and went out side to face the weather. They made a baby snowman and played in the snow. Annie was excited to wear her snow gear, especially the boots. Now she just wears them around the house! Thanks to Aunt Christine we had great snow clothes for Annie! Thanks! Then we all came inside and the girls took naps and Rex and I watched a Christmas movie curled up on the couch. It is nice just to slow down every once and a while and enjoy life.

I just love to kiss those cheeks!

Annies laugh must be scaring Macey.... she looks concerned.Getting all bundled up, it takes longer than you think :) Ta da!! A tiny snowman!

Oh so delicious

After church on Sunday Rex, Annie, and I all made yummy Christmas cookies!! We had a fun time! Of course the kitchen was a wreck and took forever to clean up after but it was worth it! We mad gingerbread cookies, homemade oreos and coconut bon bons. Annie enjoyed pushing the cookie cutters into the dough even if it wasn't rolled out, Macey watched the festivities from my arms or the bouncer, and Rex and I enjoyed tasting the finished products. I mean we had to make sure they were good right? It was a nice way to spend the evening together!

What a lovey plate....yeah there is like two cookies left :)

mouth watering......

Our little baker...apron and all!

O, Christmas tree

Annie jumping to Grandma!

Yeah, we have our tree!! On Saturday we met Rex's parents up at Lava Lake ( by Sisters) and went hiking out in the woods looking for the perfect tree. The girls fell asleep on the way up and continued to nap so my wonderful mother-in-law stayed in the car with them. Thanks Donna!! Rex and I had a great time looking for our tree as my father-in-law lead the way! After searching, we finally found the right tree and I sawed it down myself. :) Then we went out to dinner at a yummy restaurant in Sisters. On the way home we drank hot chocolate and listened to Christmas music. It was a great day as a family. I love our days together and when we share those days it really gives me a chance to look at the wonderful blessings in my life, epically my sweet family.

All of us in front of the tree.

The finished product! I love to plug the lights in and enjoy the warm glow!

All of us after the hunt is over. Annie wasn't to excited about how cold it was.

Posing by our find. It was a beautiful day for tree hunting. Even though there wasn't any snow this year, we still had a great time!

Kids are the best....

Here is Annie's belly roll. It is quite funny. Usually she will keep going forever but she was a little hyper this night and just wanted to run around. She is always making us laugh.

Our little Macey ( Annie calls her Macey moo:) is so strong. She is holding her head up so well. Very impressive. She isn't to fond of tummy time, but we make sure that she spends some time on her belly every day. She just loves to be held. I am getting really good at doing laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and some baking and cooking all with one hand!

I just love this picture, although she looks much higher in this picture then when I was standing there. I swear we are good parents..... despite what this picture shows:) Annie was about 14 months here. She would laugh so hard when Rex would throw her up in the air. I was just looking through our older photos. Ahh....memories :)

I heart Tae- Bo

We had a great Thanksgiving holiday!! Brianne and her family came down. It was the first time in 4 years that our family has all been together! We played games, ate yummy food, and just hung out. It was nice to have this long weekend to spend together. I have so many things to be thankful for so many that you probably don't want to read them all. But here are a few... Rex, my girls, my family, my sister, my townhouse, our car, Rex's jobs and his hard work, friends, my parents, the Gospel, The Savior, eternal families, blessings, healthy strong body, freedom, and safety! There are so many more and this holiday season I am really going to try and give all I can to show my appreciation and gratitude!

A family picture we took at Cal Young Middle school. (rex and dad work there:) I love Annie's face!
Rex and Macey skateboarding in the halls....

Macey and Ezra wearing their Christmas beanies that my mom made for them :)

Ryan and Annie watching a movie on Papa's dvd player, waiting for the feast to start.

I love this picture. What a pretty mama, with a cute baby!
Thanksgiving morning..... Annie likes to to Tae-bo with me in the morning. I love tae-bo. It really helps the baby weight come off and I can jump around my living room and no one can see how awesome I look :)
We must always stretch!

Our little baby is 2 months! I can't believe it. It has gone by so fast. Macey had her 2 month check up and here are the stats: 10lbs. 10 oz. 22 inches long

Both the girls got their shots too, it was so hard to watch them go from happy to sad. But thank goodness it is all over with now! Every one is doing great and we are really excited for Thanksgiving and all the yummy food! Have a great holiday!

I just thought this was cute!

Two yummy recipes

If you know me you know I love to cook and bake! Well, when the girls are sleeping or occupied I love to try new recipes and make yummy treats! I also like to make them somewhat healthy so that I don't feel so guilty when I eat them all up. :) Here is a recipe for yummy low-fat chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon swirl potato bread. Enjoy!

I got the original recipe from my HERSHEY cook book, which I love! I modified it a bit to be low-fat. These cookies are sooooo good and stay nice and soft until they are all gone!

Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup applesauce
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 egg whites
2 cups chocolate chips

Heat oven to 375
Mix all the wet ingredients until light and creamy.
Mix all the dry ingredients. Gradually add dry to wet.
Mix in chocolate chips .
Bake for 8-9 minutes on a lightly greased cookie sheet.

I pour all the ingredients for this bread into the bread machine and press "dough". When it is all done I take it out and shape it to fit into a bread pan.

Potato Bread (for bread machine)
2/3 cup potato water
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 egg
1/3 cup mashed potatoes ( i use instant or leftovers)
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. yeast

When dough is finished, take out and pat flat. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over dough and roll up. Pinch ends and fold under. Place dough in a greased bread pan. Bake at 375 for 30 min. or until done.

No one can resist fresh baked bread and butter!

Green babies

My girls are just too cute and I had to put a picture of them both wearing their green jammies. They love (especially Annie) to cuddle on our bed right before it is time for prayers and brushing teeth at night. I am so grateful for my kids, I just love being a mom to them and I am so thankful that they are a part of our family.

Ha, she is cute! We thought that we would give her a quick bath in the sink because she is small and will totally fit. Yeah right! Her legs and head we hanging out as we tried to squeeze her into the sink and water was splashing everywhere! But, she didn't seem to mind. She just loves to be in nice warm water :)

Sweet Macey

Our little baby is 6 weeks old! Seriously time goes by much faster then I would like it to! She is doing great! She has got herself on a better schedule of going to bed between 10:30 and 11:00 and waking up around 3 to eat and then sleeping in until 7:00 or later. She is a content girl and loves to be snugly. She started smiling with in the last week and her gummy grin is too cute! We just love her and can't get enough of her!

Having a great time at the party too!

I love when her binki does this. I think she looks like a baby bull, like there is a ring in her nose :)
Look at that face, I just can't help but smile :) She is the cutest!!

Annie's Panda Party

On Sunday my little Annie turned 2! I can't believe how fast time went by! Wow, I am so grateful that she is in our lives. We had a great time at her panda theme party. She is really into pandas right now. My friend Amy's son gave her a panda stuffed animal and that thing goes every where with us! She had some little friends over and everyone dressed in black and white! It was a fun day. Annie is such a blessing to us. I love her so much and I am thankful that she brings so much laughter and happiness into our lives.

Flash back...... the day we brought Annie home from the hospital, she is so cute!

Annie at her 1st birthday, very excited about having cake!

Panda party! I am soooo happy that the cake turned out. I was nervous about it actually looking like a panda! The party was a success and we had a great time! Annie asked for a panda party for the the next couple of days :)

Blowing out her candles, she blew them out so fast and no one got a picture so we lit them again and she thought it was so much fun to blow them out twice!

Jumping off the couch (her uncle taught her how :) onto her new bean bag we got her for her b-day! She loves it and loves to snuggle up into it!

My panda family. They all were very supportive of the dress code :)

Blessed little baby

On Sunday our little Macey was blessed. Rex gave her a beautiful blessing and I am so grateful that he is such a loving father. It was so nice to have the support of all of our family there. We had a great time with everyone and a yummy lunch after church. We also had a small family party for Annie's 2nd birthday (a week early) too while everyone was here. I made her a safari cake with animals on top. It was a great day!

All the family! We had family from Tillamook and Redmond come to see our little girl! Thanks guys!! WE love you!
Our cute familyAnnie and her animal cake. I had such a fun time making it!

Pumpkin Carving Time!

Last night we had a pumpkin carving party. Ok, maybe not a party but my brother Bryce came over and carved pumpkins with us while we watched "THE HULK". Very appropriate I guess because he is a scary green man. We had fun and Annie once again had a reason to take all her clothes off :) We are looking forward to putting our candles in them tonight!

Isn't this "Incredible" :) Can you tell what movie we watch around here ....... Rex is a pumpkin carving champ, very impressive!
The girls and their pumpkins, Macey is just as excited as Annie :)

Annie and me working on carving the guts out of her pumpkin.... she wanted a happy face on hers, so that's what we did!

Pumpkin carving action!

Halloween Party

We went to our church Halloween party and had a great time! Brianne and her family were down too so the girls were all fairies. Our ward does a great job at parties and there was homemade chili, tons of games for kids, treats, a cotton candy machine, and a trunk or treat. It was really fun to see all the costumes too! After a long night of parting :)
Last year Halloween party......what a cute zebra!
My little fairy

They love to say the word tutu!
