A Bench to Remember

Just the other day Rex told me that they put in this sweet thoughtful bench for mom at Cal Young Middle school(where dad and Rex work). I was so touched that we packed up a lunch and went to eat there in memory of mom. The staff at Cal Young is so amazing and they loved mom, they truly feel like family. Thank you Diana, we love you!!

We miss you mom and love you tons!

Later on in the day, we got home from the grocery store and had locked ourselves out. Thankfully the downstairs bathroom window was cracked open a bit so I had Annie climb in the window (which she thought was so cool) and unlock the door for us. I called her my hero and she was beaming the rest of the day.

All this went on while my moo slept in her car seat with food dried on her little face....cute!

New Room for 3....

Ok, I didn't know if it would work out putting 3 girls into one room, but it totally does!! Over the weekend (Rex had Monday off) we totally redid the girls room. I mean TOTALLY redid. Colors, beds, decor....the works, and I LOVED it!! It turned out so good, better than I thought and now it is my favorite room. Rex (with a bit of help from my dad) made a trundle to go under this cute bed we got from a coworker of his. It is the perfect solution for our situation! We worked hard all day and after it was complete, we rewarded ourselves with dinner out to Red Robin....yumm!! Here it is.....next makeover: my room.

The before. Nice, I know.
Yeah, all done! I am not sure what Annie is doing, but both the girls are so excited about big beds! I love the banner and the window... ok I love it all! We already had baby bedding to match too, score!
Both my girls happy as can be. Now if I could just keep them from jumping on the bed :)
This is about 11:00 p.m. at night. I have a really good flash apparently.... but a shot of them both sleeping..... so cute!

Christmas Time!!

On to the Christmas photos..... We had a great Christmas, not the same without mom of course, but we did our best:) All my siblings were here and the kids had a blast! We made gingerbread houses, decorated sugar cookies, ate a lot of food, looked at Christmas lights, played games, watched Christmas movies and sang as many Christmas carols as we knew words to. I love the feeling of Christmas and the spirit that comes along with it. We had all the kids sit down on Christmas Eve and read about the birth of the Savior. Thanks to Papa who let us invade his house all week, we love you and appreciate all you did for use this year!! It was a great Christmas....can't wait until next year :)

Annie, Macey and Ezra decorating (actually just eating the candy) their gingerbread houses
Macey is very proud of her house
My brother Bryce and his cute girlfriend, Lauren
Annie and Ryan love each other and were decorating cookies together
Papa had some presents that were lost behind the chair so since Macey was the smallest she retrieved the gifts
Christmas morning! Macey and Annie loved opening thier stockings from Santa
Annie was really excited about her new electric Hello Kitty toothbrush!
Wearing the pretty Christmas dresses from Uncle George and Aunt Marlene, so cute!!
Macey loves to lay on my lap, so we were just chilling after all the presents were ripped open at Papa's house. She is such a snugglebug :)
And of course a belly picture update! Here I am at 27 weeks!! Wow, almost in the 30's, yeah! Baby girl is kicking a ton and Annie loves to feel her move. I am loving this baby so much!

Our 6th Anniversary

I really need to catch up on the holiday blogging and photos so first we will start with our 6th anniversary!! Rex planned a really fun trip up in the snow where we stayed at a little cabin and went snowshoeing. It was so much fun!! I have never spent a night away from the girls, so my mother in-law came over to watch the girls. Thanks Donna!
This is how the trip went.... got to our cabin
changed and went snowshoeing for a couple of hours
came back and watched a Christmas movie
ate dinner
went for a night hike
played cards
slept
woke up
had muffins, fruit, and hot cocoa for breakfast
when snowshoeing on a beautiful trail
drove home
played with the kids
cleaned up and went out to a delicious dinner!

What an great couple of days! It was so much fun just to spend all my time with Rex. He really is my best friend and we had a blast together and I love that I feel the most myself when I am with him! Thanks honey, for everything and for planning this great trip. I love you! Here's to a lifetime together!
