Summer is on the way!

The last month has been busy and fun! We celebrated mother's day, my mom's 3 year anniversary, Rex's birthday, my baby just turned 4 months and we have squeezed in family outings too!! We are exctied for summer to start! Annie is just about to finish kindergarten and we are so proud of her. She had a great year. Macey is looking forward to preschool in the fall and me and the little girls will get lots of time together :)

We can't wait for swimming at the lake, smores, playing at the park, date nights, family visits and much more! Rex is headed off to Whistler Canada next week for a major mountain biking trip with his club at the high school. He is very excited! Then fire season starts and he will be busy working..... but we love summer. Here are some fun pictures from the past couple weeks!

My beautiful kids! I love these babies more than anything in the world! I loved mother's day and just spending in hanging out with these girls!
My sweet husband making my requested dinner on mother's day. Burgers and fries.....every year!

A birthday and jog-o-thon!

Olivia turned 2! I can't believe it. Really, why does it all have to go by so fast. I don't like that part. But the good news is that Olivia is still a sweet little baby... I mean girl. She is very polite, loving, and still listens to me :) She loves to help and will try and eat all of her food. She is so funny and loves to make her sisters laugh. She loves to tag along and do everything with Annie and Macey. She still naps (thank goodness) and kisses me right on the lips!! She can get away with anything because of her huge eyes and sweet little voice. I love this kid. She has been such a blessing in our lives and home. I LOVE YOU OLIVIA!! Happy birthday sweet baby!

Eating breakfast wearing "the hat". We love the hat!
I always make the girls there own little cake and Olivia is really into My Little Pony. So there is a little Pony right in the middle
Yum, icing is so good. Usually this would gross me out, but it was a special occasion so I let her go to town on the frosting!
Squeezing her new pony..... I am not sure what is going on with her hair. I do my girls hair everyday so this undone hair is very unlike me. Oh well....
And very excited about Princess legos.
And a quick picture of this sweet baby! She is all smiles lately and I can't stop kissing her cheeks! We love E!
Nice, I know. Annie had a jog-o-thon at school ( I had flashbacks about my jog-o-thons) so we made a sign and went to watch! It was so funny to see all these cute kids running their hearts out! They had a little water station and music playing for them. After they had Popsicles! Fun!
Olivia just really likes fishie crackers. But who doesn't?
Go Annie! She was so cute!

Easter

I love Easter. I love that it was a beautiful sunny day. We went to church and came home to have a wonderful afternoon together. I made a lovely Easter dinner and we talked about our Savior and the resurrection. We have a little Easter activity called "Resurrection Eggs" that we discuss with the girls. They love opening the eggs and then we explain the different events leading up to the resurrection. I am so grateful for my Savior and all that he has done for me. I am incredibly thankful for all that I have :)

As a baby shower gift, one of my best friends Kari, got the girls these cute matching dresses! They looked so cute all dressed up for Easter! I want to take some more pictures of them when they are all not starving  and tired from being at church :)

The girls helped set the table with these cute carrots filled with candy, name tags, and Easter plates.

I put together these little goodie jars to give out to all my young women. They loved them!

Day at the Coast

We had a wonderful spring break last week. It was full of relaxing, family bike rides, plenty of time outside on scooters, playing with friends, and a wonderful day trip to the beach! We spent the day in Florence with our super good friends the Petersons! We had a blast! Beside the fact that it was incredibly windy on the actual beach and Eleanor screamed her tiny guts out ..... so we sat in the car for a while, it was a great day!

Macey getting ready to fly her frog kite. She loves her kite.
Me and Amy holding our babies
family shot by all the boats in the harbor
All the kids minus Jillian (their oldest) and Eleanor. Look at all those cute girls...... and Hayden. They are such good little friends.
Trying to get a picture of everyone smiling......
 Trying again.......
Annie took this picture of us and it turned out really good! Go Annie! We ate at Mo's (behind us) and enjoyed yummy seafood. Well, I didn't because I have this thing about seafood and that I don't like it, but everyone else did :)
I LOVE this picture. Rex and all his girls. He is very talented and can hold a baby and hold Annie's hand too. Melt my heart.

Baby Eleanor Update

Oh my goodness we are loving this baby! Eleanor is a wonderful baby and we can't get enough of her! She is adjusting to baby life really well. She puts up with getting passed from sister to sister, she is sleeping well in her crib, she is only some times fussy (usually when Rex and I are trying to watch our favorite show: Castle), she loves to eat, and is finally starting to fit into her 0-3 months clothes! Everyday I kiss this baby and I thank my Heavenly Father that I have been given such a sweet baby. Here are some pictures from the first month with new baby Eleanor.

Little photo shoot while she was sleeping :)

Helping with the laundry. Lots of girl laundry. Laundry is my favorite chore.....I know, I am weird. It is fun folding tiny clothes.

Notice bed head and jammies.... the girls all want to hold her as soon as she wakes up in the morning. Very sweet.

Finally a picture with open eyes!
She loves a nice warm bath

Valentine's Day fun!

Happy Valentine's Day! I love holidays. I love going all out. I love cutting sandwiches into hearts, filling lunch pails with construction paper hearts, making cookies with pink, white, and red M&M's, and using our "fancy" cups at dinner. We had a great day yesterday! I love showing my family how much they mean to me!

The girls opening their valentines bags
Macey got this cute balloon from a little boy in her church class. He brought it over and delivered it himself.... too cute!!
Eleanor in her sweet little heart jammies. She was so very festive :)
Olivia was tucking Eleanor in with a burp rag. She is doing really well with her new sister. All the girls just love her.......
and so do I!! I can't get enough of my sweet girl!

Eleanor Jane Basting has arrived!

Eleanor is here!! Oh my goodness we are so happy and over the moon! This sweet baby arrived on Feb. 3 at 11:17 pm. I am a blessed mom because my babies are always in a hurry to get here. We arrived at the hospital and checked in at 6 pm and after what seemed like a ton of questions and paperwork finally at 7 the dr. stripped my membranes and we got the show on the road. After about an hour and a half of a whole lot of nothing she checked me one more time and I was at a 6. Then the contractions really picked up. We didn't have time for an epidural so we tried to do an intrathecal but before that could kick in, after one push Eleanor came into the world! She was 6 lbs. 12 oz. and 18 inches long. She has nice dark fluffy hair and smells soooo good. I love baby skin :)

Dad and Heather came and visited us in the we hours of the morning and brought us food and flowers. They saved us from starving :)  Thank you guys, we love you!! I have the best family!

I have to say that Rex is the most amazing man in this world. I love that when we are in the delivery room it is just the two of us. He makes me feel strong and he is supportive and I feel like after each time that we bring a baby home from the hospital I fall in love with him more and more. He is sweet and patient with newborns and most of all he loves and takes care of me.

My amazing sister Brianne stayed with my other kiddies and took care of me and my family all week! She did hair, clothes, laundry, dishes, dinner, mopping, bed times, filled bottles, brushed teeth and tons more! We are so grateful that she was here to help. I LOVE being around Brianne. She is so fun. She is my best friend and I can't imagine my life without her. Thank you Brianne, for everything:)

A few pictures of our last week .....

My sweet baby and me :)
All clean and warmed up
A daddy to four girls!!! So sweet.
Big sister Annie. Oh she loves this baby :) She is helpful and loving. If I would let her she would carry Eleanor around all day :)
Macey is really into being a big sister too! She loves to hold her and kiss her head. Olivia is actually doing pretty good and will pet Eleanor on the head and kiss her. We are all in love with her!
Back at home, sleeping and wiggling her arms out of her jammies. I am so blessed and I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for my sweet baby and my beautiful girls and husband. Welcome home Eleanor!!
