Party round 2

Macey was lucky enough to have another little party. Honestly, it was an excellent reason to get together with family and friends and eat! We had a great time and Macy sure enjoyed herself and her cake! I am still trying to absorb the fact that she is 1!

I was so excited to make these for her party! I got a great cup cake cookbook from my mom and I really wanted to use it. I am so glad they turned out!

Pretty huh? Good thing I am a perfectionist or this could have been ugly :)
She really could care less about the open flame right in front of her :)
Yumm, it's all mine!

I found this little toy at a yard sale a couple weeks ago for $1.50! Her and Annie love it! What a steal.... and it is fun to watch her shake that little bootie!

Macey turns 1!!

I can't believe that my baby is one!! Where did the last year go? Fastest year ever....yep I am pretty sure! Wow, I did good and didn't cry, but seriously, why do babies grow so fast? Well, it was pretty low key, we are having a little party this weekend, but of course she had to try some cake. She did like her cake, but really wanted to share it with all of us! I love my Macey moo and she is such a sweet baby. She has brought so much happiness into our home and lives. I can't wait to see her little personality grow...... and her hair too :) Happy birthday my sweet girl!

There she is, finally made it!

One day old...... and then flash forward......

One year!! I love those eyes and cheeks.

She liked the candle but didn't really know what to do! We said "blow" and she starting blowing air out her nose :)

Yummmmm

Opening her new toy...... stacking cups!

Felt Pumpkin project

My extremely intelligent friend, Amy, shared this GREAT quite time, church, soft toy idea! I am so excited because Annie loves it and it DID occupy her at church today! Thanks Amy! All you do is get some felt from the store (about 30 cents each :) and cut out a pumpkin shape and lots of different eyes, mouths, noses, and accessories (hair bows, mustaches, earrings...). That's it! I am going to make a snowman too with scarfs, hats and button options! Have fun!

Annie couldn't wait until Sunday, we broke it out Friday afternoon!

Hard at work....

Ok, so we veered off subject a little bit, but isn't she cute with a huge black mustache?

A little update...

I feel like there hasn't been anything blog worthy happening around here lately so I will give you a quick update! Rex has started up again at Cal Young Middle School and is currently working on his internship too! He is on the home stretch of his masters and the end is near. He will be working 2 school jobs, doing his internship, and going to school. He is amazing and never complains. I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband! Macey will be 1 in a week!! AHHH!! Sad, my baby is growing up, but it will be fun to celebrate! Annie is a potty queen and we are so proud of her. She is constantly surprising us with her vocabulary and memory :) I am a very happy girl because after months of saving up, I got a Cricut Expression!! For those of you who don't know what that is, it is the ultimate cutting and scrapbooking machine. It is so amazing and I have been playing around but I am starting on my first project and I will show you when it is done! I am so excited. Hopefully soon I will have fun things to blog about!

Here are my cute girls..... I just love them!

Family Photos

About a month ago we went up to Forest Grove and had our pictures taken by one of Brianne's friends, Megan. She did an AMAZING job and was great to work with. Super friendly and very professional. We got them in the mail today and I am so excited to have them! I can't wait to put them up. The girls did good, the weather held out and all in all I am very pleased! Here are a few of my favorites!!

Two Boy's Birthdays

This last week has been fun and filled! We celebrated both my brothers birthdays and Bryce ( who was in California fighting fire) was able to have a little time off and hang out with the family. We had brownies and game night for Bryce's birthday and dinner and a pinata for Brady's birthday. I got the fun job of making desserts for them....my favorite!

Brady and his skull cake. He wanted a black cake with a green skull....I think he is a pirate....
This is right after Brady whacked the head off his cat pinata. Annie was excited about the candy but wasn't sure why we were hitting a kitty.

Lauren and Bryce and his brownie dessert! Yum! Happy birthday guys, we love you!

Microwave Fire

No, I didn't set our appliances on fire, that is the name of the fire that Rex has been on for the last 5 days. He has been working on the night crew up in the Hood River area fighting the 1,200 acre fire. We miss him like crazy!! He is so amazing and works incredibly hard, with little sleep and I never hear him complain. He really enjoys this summer job and I am grateful that he likes what he does. He grew up around a fire crew ( his dad has been supervisor over fire crews in Sweet Home forever) so this is nothing new. But, I still think it is a dangerous job and I like it much better when he is home :) I love this guy, we can't wait to have him home!

He is such a hottie, gotta love a guy in a uniform!

This tiny picture is from fire school, him and his dad have been there together 2 years in a row. I know it is fun for both of them!
