Macey is 4 months!

Our baby Macey is 4 months! She loves to giggle, coo, look at Annie, eat, watch me cook and hates to be in her car seat :( She can fit in 6 month clothes, and is a night owl like her parents. She is the sweetest with a lovable personality and we love her more and more every day. She has her 4 month checkup on Monday so we will see her new stats then!

Macey's cute little laugh

Rex was making the girls laugh the other night with this little owl rattle that Macey loves. When ever I ask Annie to please get a soft toy, she brings over the owl. :) I just love Macey's sweet laugh. She just started laughing and it makes us all smile. What a little angel, both her and Annie bring so much happiness into our home. I love my girls.....and I love Rex too!!

Goodnight Sweetheart.......

I have been collecting an group of pictures of Annie's funny sleeping habits. She moves around that little bed like a worm, and we fix her when it gets to the point where I just think she looks uncomfortable. Here are some of the pictures.....she will appreciate these when she is older :)

Yes, this is in the middle of the night (the flash works good:) and yes she is just sleeping on the floor. We aren't sure if she fell off, but she didn't seem to mind :)

I always think that all the blood is going to rush to her little head. I always move her so she's comfy.

Funny huh?

I just thought this one is cute! It is at nanny's and papa's house when she was about 1 1/2.

Over the weekend.....

Here are a few pictures of what we did over the weekend. Any time that we spend together is always wonderful!

Annie is modeling a blanket that I finished for one of my best friends. She always comes to me when she knows someone who is having a baby and I love making these quilts!
I made delicious cinnamon rolls on Sunday. There are supposed to be just like cinnabon and let me tell you they were soooo good and tasty. I love making bread type food, it takes longer but I always feel like I accomplished something great!

And look at our Macey moo! She is so strong and is really starting to like her tummy time. Annie always displays an array of toys for her to look at!

Just for fun

For anyone who has little kids or who just wants to join in on the fun here is a great website that your kiddies will love. http://www.sandiegozoo.org/pandacam/index.html It is a direct live feed of the pandas at the San Diego Zoo. You can watch them live and Annie just loves it! This is great if you need a moment to your self :) Annie will watch them for quite a while so it gives me time to do my make up or start laundry. Today she sat and had her snack and watched while I cleaned the upstairs! Enjoy!

Melt my heart

Well, today was incredibly productive and I love those kind of days! I worked out and the kids actually cooperated, cleaned the house very thoroughly...top to bottom, did laundry, made dessert for tonight, ran some errands, played with the kiddies and kissed my hubby!! But the best part of my day was when I turned around when I was scrubbing the bathroom floor to see my sweet Annie reading a book to Macey Moo (who looks all kinds of grown up in that bumbo seat:). Moments like that just make me smile and so grateful for my kids. I love them and I love staying at home with them!

Who doesn't love popcorn?

Ok, this is the best, yummiest, most delicious way to make sweet popcorn. Rex always asks for this when we want to make a munchie snack! You can't mess it up either! Enjoy!

White Chocolate Popcorn

1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels

1 bag of white chocolate chips

wax paper

1. Pop your kernels in an air popcorn popper
2. Melt the whole bag of white chocolate chips in a microwave safe measuring cup/bowl. (It takes about 3 minutes and just stir every minute).
3.Pour melted chocolate over popcorn in a big bowl.
4. Use a spoon (or your hands) to coat the popcorn with chocolate.
5. Spread on wax paper to cool, about 30 min.
Enjoy! Store in zip lock bag or covered container.

Gifts to Share

Here are a few pictures of some awesome gifts that we received this year. I love them because they are homemade!

My dad and brothers made me this coat rack. Pretty cool huh? I love that my family is so artistic. They made it out of an old window and replaced the glass with mirror. Then attached the door knobs as coat hooks. I LOVE IT!! I needed one so bad and my family is so awesome that they made one for me! Thanks guys!

Each year for Christmas, birthday...any occasion that gifts are involved I always try to incorporate some sort of Russian themed gift. This year, with some help form a friend that served in Russia on her mission, I made Rex this sign. It says, "always yours". I was so excited to give it to him and he loved it!

Here is the quilt that Donna made us. Annie has one too which is absolutely beautiful and has a matching pillow case, but it is packed away. We wanted to get a picture of this one too before it goes into hibernation until next Christmas. I know she worked so hard and it really shows!! My mom got me a really cool cupcake cookbook too. I didn't think that you would want to see a picture of a book, but I will take pictures when I have made some of the creations inside!

Christmas vacation

Finally I have gotten around to posting pictures from Christmas! I didn't take nearly enough though but at least we have some! We had a great time at Rex's parents house for Christmas. Everyone from his family was there together for the first time in 4 years! The kids all had so much fun playing together and kept each other busy. We did tons of fun things and crammed in as much as we could. We had delicious dinners every night, had a trip up to the snow, watched movies, had tea parties, played wii, had a pinata, played cards, had family pictures taken, and had time to just talk at night. Rex's family is amazing and everyone is so close we really enjoyed our time with them. Over all, Christmas was great and we are sad that is over, but grateful for the wonderful time we had.
Opening my gifts from Rex! He always picks out the best stuff and I totally trust him shopping for me! Thanks honey!

Annie has become a fan of dress up. One of her cousins got a dress up chest and she loved to wear the clothes. What a beautiful princess!

Opening presents on Christmas. My mother-in-law made the most beautiful quilts for everyone in the family. She spent a year making all of our presents!! Thanks Donna!
Matching jammies that my mom (nanny) made for the girls. They are there Christmas jammies with ice cream cones on them. Very cozy! Thanks mom!
